sample answer (band 8):
introduction:
Being a hodophile, I have always been keenly interested in traveling to new and unfamiliar places from time to time. Since modern era is an era of stress and strain, struggle and strife; hence relaxation, rejuvenation and recreation is a must otherwise the person becomes a mental wretch. The small excursions that I undertake every now and then come to my rescue. They help me to chill out and unwind my stress.
Who you were with?
Here I would like to talk about a peculiar holiday trip that I had with my friends. I wet out with them because they help me relax and unwind from the mundane daily routine. Well, ability to laugh together is the essence of love and the best opportunity for this is provided by family and friends. They give us strength and support, courage and confidence, love and affection.
What holiday it was?
It was a 3 day trip to Sri Lanka. We ditched the old tradition of booking a hotel and reserved a homestay with the local family there.
What you did And explain why it was unusual?
The most unusual thing that I experienced on this homestay was to cook for me and my friends. This was my first hand experience with cooking and that too at a far away destination from my home. This was just the beginning of the adventure and more was yet to come.
Great blog! Do you have any suggestions for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little
lost on everything. Would you propose starting with
a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many
options out there that I’m completely confused ..
Any tips? Many thanks!
Hi there!
Thank you for your interest in starting a blog! Choosing between a free platform like WordPress and a paid option depends on your intentions and budget. If you’re testing the waters, a free platform such as WordPress.com, Blogger, or Medium can be ideal to start without financial commitments. These platforms are user-friendly and great for building an initial audience.
For more serious blogging or if you plan to monetize your blog, consider a paid platform like WordPress.org or Squarespace. These provide more customization, better domain control, and no unwanted ads.
Regardless of the platform, here are a few quick tips:
Choose a specific niche.
Maintain a regular posting schedule.
Engage with your readers and build a community.
Focus on creating quality content.
Best of luck, and keep us updated on your journey!
