introduction:

Being a fitness enthusiast, I like to keep myself indulged in various activities. One of them is walking 10000 steps on a daily basis. We all know that modern era is an era of stress and strain, struggle and strife; hence relaxation, rejuvenation and recreation is a must otherwise a person becomes a mental wretch.

Where was it?

One fine day I was walking in this park which is far away from the city hustle and bustle, the traffic and the din and the concrete structures. It is full of verdant greenery and dense foliage throughout the year. All the amenities here are arranged in a very immaculate and meticulous manner.

When did you pick it?

While I was strolling beside the lush green tress, I noticed a young woman litter around and throw something on the ground just beside her bench. Upon reaching her, I picked up the packet she had thrown and disposed it off in the dustbin nearby. This made her instantly regret her act and she apologized for her behavior.

What did you do after you picked it up?

Empathetically, I  asked her not to repeat it again. She told me that she is usually environmentally conscious and had done this mistake for the very first time in her life. I agreed and we started to discuss about the harm our waste products and landfills are producing, how these are degrading our environment.

How did you feel?

I felt a wave of satisfaction, contentment and peace of mind sweep through my body. Picking up the litter, paved the way for educating many others around us too. On returning back home, I felt relaxed, rejuvenated and refreshed.
