sample answer (band 8):
introduction:

It is undeniable that rules are regulations help us to create a structured environment whether in schools/colleges, workplaces or in societies. They are essential for maintaining order and good conduct. Hence, these should be implemented at an early age in life.

There are various rules and regulations which every school places in order to ensure a conducive learning environment. The common ones being time management and punctuality, dress codes, personal hygiene, maintaining discipline, etc. Here, I would like to talk about a rule that is implemented in every school and is necessary to be followed.

What the rule is about?

This rule was of maintaining discipline and walk in line whenever we walked to our classes or to our playgrounds in school. Our school was so strict about it, that we had to walk in lines even when we went on picnics.

What happens when people break it?

If anyone broke the line, the other kids used to bully him and report to the teachers. The teacher used to punish some children and some others used to manage without getting punished. If any child broke this rule without any particular intention, then also he was bullied by the other kids.

Why you think it is important?

Teaching discipline to kids at an early age is vital for their success in life. With discipline comes stability and it helps to structure and organize activities.

And explain how you feel about it?

To be honest, when I was in school I used to hate this rule and often broke it. However, I now realize the importance of this rule and would advise all children to abide by it.
